Barb will be speaking with Spencer Turnbull from the OIG’s Washington DC office on “It’s A Zoo Out there for Ancillary Providers and Fraud: Better Not Monkey Around.” Barb will address fraud and abuse issues relating to home health agencies, hospices, durable medical equipment providers, ambulance services, and physician owned distributorships from the provider’s perspective.
Harvey Tettlebaum will be co-presenting with Bill Dombi, with the National Association of Home Care & Hospice, on “Shared Savings – Shared Liability: The Impact of Re-Hospitalization, Administrative, and Criminal Penalties on Post-Acute Care Providers.” This session will cover the effects of the Shared Savings Program on post-acute care providers. It reviews the elements of the Shared Savings Program and relevant guidance and incorporates information on the impact of other related statutory and regulatory provisions such as HIPAA, EHR, the OIG Work Plan, and the results of audits by the OIG.
If you are going to be at the Annual Meeting, please let us know. We would love to meet up with you there!
We thank AHLA for the honor of being included in their list of top healthcare firms and we look forward to our continued participation with the organization.
